The Starting Point…Jacob Himes

Out of the state of Ohio comes one of the biggest lineman in the class of 2016. Jacob Himes is a 6’9 340 pound offensive tackle who is being looked upon as a developing highly touted lineman. The biggest question about Himes is how fast will his footwork develop and how he will handle speed rushers. Spending time at summer camps will definitely be a plus as college coaches will be able to sharpen his technique while helping the young man eliminate bad blocking habits. After watching Himes at the Northwestern Wildcats Pat Fitzgerald Football Camp 2015, his most notable attribute is how fast he moves for his size. During the pass rush drill he absolutely handled his business as he overpowered bull rushers and mixed quickness and his lengthiness to outskill speed rushers. It may be hard to convince Himes to leave the state of Ohio with Ohio State University coming off its national championship year, but schools will definitely line up and try to convince this young man to do just that. Keep an eye out as Jacob Himes makes his way on all recruiting lists across the nation.
